Zoono Longevity FAQS

Zoono should be used alongside a regular cleaning routine to help keep pathogens at bay for longer.

Zoono provides a residual baseline antibacterial layer which is designed to help support routine cleaning and provide enhanced protection between cleaning cycles. It is important that routine cleaning continues.

Once dry, Zoono resembles a layer of microscopic pins that attract, pierce and kill pathogens – the same principle as a pin popping a balloon. And in the same manner that the burst balloon cannot be reformed, neither can the pathogens.

We have internal global laboratory test data and evidence to show that Zoono can help protect surfaces for up to 30 days and skin for up to 24 hours. We are now working with UK Trading Standards to supply full evidence of our efficacy and longevity.
On 13th August, Zoono voluntarily withdrew all statements that our products can ‘help to protect surfaces for up to 30 days’ following a consultation with the UK Trading Standards Authority. While we have internal global laboratory test data and evidence to support this statement, we have been advised that we cannot communicate this until we have the authority from the regulator. The safety of the public remains our priority and we are confident in the capabilities of our products. We are now working with UK Trading Standards to supply full evidence of our efficacy and longevity.

Products FAQS

Our products use a unique advanced technology, exclusive to Zoono. Our products are applied by a mist, spray or foam. Once dry, Zoono resembles a layer of microscopic pins that attract, pierce and kill pathogens – using the same principle as a pin popping a balloon. In the same manner that the burst balloon cannot be reformed, neither can the cells of the burst pathogens. Unlike traditional sanitisers that kill bacteria by poison or high alcohol content, Zoono is a water-based surface sanitiser applied as a mist then allowed to dry. Excludes Professional Strength products.

Our Zoono Professional strength products are designed to dry quickly on surfaces, the ingredient we add to our Professional Strength product means this range is not suitable to direct skin contact, however still significantly safer than other commercial products. Zoono ‘Professional Strength’ applies to our Zoono Germ Foggers and is identifiable by the ‘Professional Strength’ symbol on the front of pack.
Around the home, just follow the instructions on the label – apply Zoono via a trigger pack and allow approx. 10 minutes for drying. For commercial / technical applications, industry specific written protocols are recommended and are provided as required.
Simply apply Zoono Hand Sanitiser liberally to the hands and gently rub until dry.

Zoono GermFree24 is the Zoono Hand Sanitiser. The active agent in the hand sanitiser bonds to the skin and only comes off when the skin naturally exfoliates, meaning that one application of the GermFree24 provides 24 hour protection and can be seen to be equivalent to 10+ applications of a normal alcohol based sanitiser.

No. It forms an antimicrobial barrier on the skin and will not stain clothing nor discolour skin.
On application, the hands feel silky and moisturised without leaving a visible film or coating.
No. Unlike other hand sanitisers that contain up to 70% alcohol and chap the hands and dry the skin, Zoono is a mild but effective formulation. On application, Zoono Hand Sanitiser leaves hands soft and moisturised.
Yes. Zoono Hand Sanitiser does not inhibit the normal function of the skin. The antimicrobial layer produced by application of Zoono Hand Sanitiser and which bonds to the skin is permeable to gases and allows the skin to “breathe” normally.
Yes. Zoono Hand Sanitiser has been dermatologically tested in Germany on a range of skin types (older people, young people, fair skinned and dark skinned people etc) – with zero reactions recorded.
Yes. Zoono has been tested in accredited laboratories located in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Germany, USA, Turkey, South Africa and Japan.
Yes. When quick (15 second) efficacy tests are required, we take swabs (before and after treatment) from the surface and measure them via an ATP device. ATP is a globally accepted method of testing for pathogenic presence and is commonly used by QA personnel in all major food and beverage production facilities.

Returns FAQS

It is important that you’re happy with the items you’ve purchased from us. If your item is faulty, it may be returned to us. Goods may be returned for a refund or exchanged within 14 days or receiving your order, provided they are unopened and unused. Please note postage costs will not be refunded for the cost incurred returning the items to us. If the goods are faulty or were sent in error we will reimburse you the cost incurred to return the item/s back to us. Zoono will strictly not accept returns for open or used items, unless the item is faulty. We will not provide a refund if you change your mind so please select your items carefully.
Orders placed on our website will be refunded similar to the way you made your purchase and you will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed. Please see terms & conditions for our return policy. If you used a credit card, the funds will be credited back to your credit card within 5 business days however this may vary depending on your bank (and can take up to 10 days). If you used PayPal to place your order, the funds will be returned and visible in your Paypal account immediately.

If you believe your parcel has been lost please contact us. We will open up an investigation with our courier provider on your behalf to determine the location of your parcel based o the tracking code.

Yes, if you have sufficient evidence to provide us. Please contact us and we will assist you through the process. Please note, you will need to provide a receipt for these postage costs in order for us to refund you.
If you need to make a change to the billing address, delivery address and contact number please let us know as soon as you can. If we haven’t shipped your order we will do our best to make the changes. Unfortunately, we’re unable to change the items within your order.

You will need to cover courier costs yourself. You must take precautions to ensure your items reach our warehouse as we cannot take responsibility until we receive the items. Please ensure you use a traceable service for safe delivery. If your item is faulty we will reimburse delivery costs however, please use the most economical delivery method to return your items as we cannot reimburse for an amount higher than the original delivery costs.
